Become a Mentor

STAR is always looking to add community mentors to our program.

Do you have an interest in helping clients learn how to be strong contributing members of our community? Do you have a couple of spare hours a week? Do you have life experience and skills you feel may be of value?

We need you!

Each mentor/mentee relationship plays out differently, based on the needs of the client and the skills of the mentor. Typical activities include: assistance understanding the budget process, consulting on resumes and cover letters and how to dress for appointments, coming to weekly support dinners, and being an emotional support. It is up to the mentor and the mentee to define their projects and set their schedules with each other.

Some mentors work with multiple clients; others only take on one at a time. Our program is extremely flexible so we should be able to accommodate most of your needs as a potential mentor.

Please contact or 509.525.3612 if you are interested in becoming a STAR mentor.
